About the memoir

Everybody Has a Story: Twenty-Eight Years in Care is a memoir. It reflects the author’s own recollections of events over many years. Some events have been compressed, and some dialogue has been recreated from memory.

To protect the privacy and dignity of residents, their families and colleagues, names and identifying details have been changed. Any resemblance to a particular living person, beyond those who have given permission to be included, is unintended.

The views and opinions in the book and on this site are the author’s own. They do not represent the views of any current or former employer, care provider, regulator or organisation.
